Another oldie-goldie

This poor corner hutch came to me in a ghastly state: it was a sad grey-purple colour and was falling apart.  Thankfully, it had good bones and beautiful wooden detailing! After some repair work, new paint, glaze, and a little love, it now looks much more approachable!  This item is not for sale.

Two-tone grey corner hutch:

Pretty wooden details; glazed to stand out.

A past favourite...

This is a piece that was refinished last year: it is a past favourite of mine.  It is not for sale :)  but is an example of what Sage & Balm is all about: taking previously unloved (and sometimes unattractive) furniture, and giving it new life.

Custom Orders Welcome!

Did you know that custom furniture refinishing is available at Sage & Balm?

Here's how that works:

1) Select a piece of furniture that you currently own, or supply a piece of furniture that you've recently purchased.   OR: specify a piece of furniture that you would like me to purchace on your behalf and provide details about the style, type, dimensions you are looking for.  (Keep in mind this can take time to hunt down the right piece(s)!)

2) Consult with me regarding what you'd like done with the piece.  This includes the following:
  • what colour(s) you would like for paint or stain?
  • does your piece require fabric/recovering?  Either provide fabric or consult to choose a fabric
  • what type of finish would you like? (glossy, matte, satin, eggshell)
  • what finishing techniques would you like? (no distressing - looks new; distressing or aging/antiquing, glazing, etc.)
  • would you like the piece(s) sealed?
  • pricing options are discussed along with delivery or pick-up availability
  • time-frame for completion of the piece (larger items require more time than smaller items)

3) Once your order is complete and ready for delivery or pick-up, a payment transaction will be completed, and you will be off and running with your newly restored piece!

Please email sageandbalm@gmail.com to arrange for custom orders, or join me on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sage-and-Balm/108850989277404)
