What is Sage & Balm all about?

Sage & Balm is a small home-based business dedicated to finding long, lost, and forgotten furniture or housewares and giving those items a second chance: it's recycling for home furnishings!  Rather than seeing our landfills fill up with old items, why not turn those pieces into something you can love or use again?
  My goal is to provide one-of-a-kind items that are both useful and beautiful - since life is too short to own anything else!  I use high quality materials and my re-finishing expertise will give you high-end products at affordable prices.  I try my best to use products that are eco-friendly.

If you love all things shabby chic, vintage, antique, distressed, French Country, or just plain pretty, then you've come to the right place.  Everything at Sage and Balm is one-of-a-kind and unique! Vintage coffee table set in pale blue and walnut

Lovely solid pine coffee table and two matching side tables are hand refinished with pale blue bases and dark walnut stained tops. All pieces have been glazed, distressed, and sealed to add character and protection to the wood. Table tops show the nice pine wood grain and knots (I like seeing the wood grain's natural beauty). Coffee table has two drawers in great condition (they have been stained inside to match the table top). New fixtures and curvy woodworking complete the shabby-chic feel to these tables.

Sleek Antique desk in Black satin

Beautiful, streamlined and polished black desk is refinished in a satiny black to give this desk an elegant finish.  Pretty stenciling on the inside of drawers lends a fun peek-a-boo when opened (one side has a carved groove for holding pencils, too). Spindle-y turned legs, original fixtures, and backsplash show how well the desk was crafted by Canadian woodworkers at Gibbard Furniture (http://www.gibbardfurniture.ca/).
