I received a custom request from a friend who wanted to use a dresser as a change-table for a new baby on the way (hooray!). She wanted it turquoise....and along with a few other specifications, a nice (but sort of drab) dresser became a delightfully colourful change-table base. After tracking down a dresser that would be suitable, it received some TLC, and the usual prep-work, followed by custom-tinted chalk paint and it has been waxed to perfection so it would look lovingly time-worn.
The dresser has 6 drawers with lots of storage space, lovely black fixtures, and the illusion of extra drawers, which gives the dresser some personality. The inside of each drawer has a hand-stenciled print and everything is sealed to protect the baby's belongings. I hope my friend will love how it looks and functions in the nursery!
