Lovely Florida landscapes

I have not posted since my last custom order as I have enjoyed a family vacation to sunny Florida!  Once back home, I finally took time to complete a few projects around my own house that had begged my attention for far too long (I will add photos of those projects at another time).  For now, I thought I'd share some of the photos I took while in Florida so you too, can enjoy some repose from this wintry cold-snap which has swept across south-western Ontario!

*all photo prints posted to the blog are available for purchase in multiple sizes: please contact sageandbalm@gmail.com to place an order.*

A black heron soaks up the last of the sun's rays prior to roosting for the night.

An antique typewriter at Lanier's Historic Downtown Marketplace in Kissimmee has a perfect patina. Check out Lanier's Antique's!

A cormorant unfolds its wings to dry in the sleepy haze of a Florida afternoon.

Day-tripping through Ridgewood Lakes in my dad's cherry-red 1931 Ford Model A named "Miss Jenny".

A gorgeously mirrored sunset settles over a large pond near Davenport, Florida.

A lone fisherman cozies up in a lounger to take in the beautiful view.

A white Ibis opens its wings to head for brush-cover before nightfall, displaying a lovely glow through its long feathers.

A stunning sunset dazzles over the Ben T. Davis beach shoreline in Tampa Bay.

While I take in the view, my vintage bicycle rests under the branches of a mighty Florida "oak" covered with Spanish Moss in the Tree of Life park.

A pretty vista from Flagler beach: one of the multitude of beaches along Florida's laid-back east coast.

A couple takes a morning stroll through a golden beach only accessed through a crumbling highway that is receding back into sand.

South of Anastasia Island near St.Augustine, a lone seagull poses in the shallow, rippled tide-water.

A single sprig of delicate purple flowers basks in the glow of another picturesque sunset.
