Rustic barn door

As you may know already, I have been working on multiple projects for my upcoming show: Christmas @ Blue, a 3-day craft and artisan market at the prestigious Blue Mountain Resort.  It is hosted by @Large Events, and I am both nervous and excited as the date approaches (it runs Nov. 27th-29th).  You can check out more details about the show here.

I've been experimenting with my building skills lately, and yesterday I worked on a "rustic barn door" which I made from some left over planks I had from a different project.  I essentially designed a classic barn-door look and set about constructing it: planks were all measured, cut, nailed into place, stained, and after several layers of dry-brushing, the door is ready to become a statement piece in someone's home!  (The wreath will come to the show with me too!)

Before...a pile of planks and nails....

After: a great blend of shabby-chic, rustic, and farmhouse styles converge to make a great statement piece of decor!
